Onilla (1961-2006)

by Robert Brow (www.brow.on.ca), Kingston, Ontario

she died alone

far from home

in Vancouver

so brilliant

and lovable

could talk herself

into a job

again and again

she came back

to her home

in Toronto

but she couldn’t

stay for long

had to get back

to her friends

in Vancouver

this life failed

for Onilla

but in heaven

there is all that

she had longed

to be and give

of herself
