How can you think that post-modernism has any value?

By Robert Brow (www.brow.on.ca)

Post-modernism is not a religion or ideology, only a way of being open to alternatives.  And the alternatives need to be looked at and evaluated, as Jesus said, strictly according to their fruits.  Having looked at Nazism, I decided it was not a good way to
run a country.   Communism had an equally dismal track record.   As did Samurai Shintoism in Japan.  Hinduism as taught by the Brahmins was certainly bad for India.  Idolatry and witchcraft is always pernicious.  And the Islam of the Taliban was a disaster for Afghanistan.  I cannnot see any way for love and compassion to flourish in a country apart from the Creative Love Theism of the Bible.   Remove that from our life and values, and we are into a  downward spiral.

The LORD said to Jeremiah "my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living water, and dug out cisterns for themselves, cracked cisterns, that can hold no water" (Jeremiah 2:13).   That is a post-modern appeal to evaluate cisterns.
